Minnetonka Boulevard Reconstruction Design Approved
This week, the city council returned to the Minnetonka boulevard construction project, with the goals of both reviewing questions raised by residents and the council at the last session, and deciding whether or not to approve with Option B.
The new design has two shared-use trails on either side of the boulevard, which both cyclists and pedestrians can use.

Ultimately, Option B offers optimum safety and cost effectiveness for as many people as possible. Studies around signage and speed limit changes for the road and trail will come after the construction is completed. The City Council voted to approve Option B.
In the coming months, they will be continuing to explore costs for moving power lines underground, with more info to come at a later session this summer.
